Homework for October 23rd Task 2

Original Paragraph: Scheuer’s second type of citizenship is economic citizenship, which mainly focuses on the community side of citizenship. This dimension of citizenship focuses on “being a productive member of a community” meaning one would help around their neighborhood or even help a neighbor in a time of need (Scheuer). This can even be done by doing something as simple as helping oneself, doing something useful for yourself can count as an act of being a productive member of the community.

Revised Paragraph: Scheuers second type of citizenship is economic citizenship, which mainly focuses on the community side of citizenship. I agree with Scheuer fully on this mainly because if one wants to be invested with their community and make a difference you must provide. When I say provide, it does not have to be by giving money or anything, it is as simple as volunteering around one’s community. To be invested into something, is to give it your focus and attention and stand by it one hundred percent of the time. That is the true way to be involved and give back to your community.
