I believe my chosen major fits into the empirical inquiry meta genre. Mainly because of the genres within empirical inquiry. The genres are laboratory report, poster, poster presentation, research proposal, research report, scientific article, and scientific presentation. Looking at these genres will give you insight as to why political science will be under empirical inquiry. After all, political science is one of the sciences and it involves courses that make students be able to demonstrate abilities or perform tasks such as the given genres of empirical inquiry. 

Political science touches base on Boyer’s ideology of an enriched major through the second question. The social implications to be understood, are looking at politics as a social science. It also touches the social view because it is the study of problems and opportunities that arise in different communities of all sizes.
