Involvement Fair

As I was walking around at the involvement fair, I came across the Student Government club. This caught my interest because I used to be apart of Student Government while in middle school. I used to be the class treasurer in 7th and 8th grade. So the booth for Student Government really caught my eye. As I went up to the booth, I was greeted with a very big smile. Raica Mirza was the representative I spoke to about involving myself into the club. She informed me about running for any position, as all positions for the freshmen were up for grabs. It was all about making yourself known around campus when it came to getting people to vote for you. In my opinion, I took this as one needing to be a people person to have any shot at being elected for any position. Which I consider myself to be a huge people person, I love meeting new people and making friends. As she started to explain the whole campaign process, I thought to myself that it would not be too hard to make this work. I would in fact thrive in this process if I actually decided to pursue it and run for a class position. I have not yet decided whether I will be pursuing this, it was only a thought or an idea. I do love getting involved, however, I want to make sure I am never putting too much on my plate to handle during the first couple weeks.
